I wanna finish this PayPal series first before I go back to the main theme of this blog which is exploring my beautiful country, the Philippines.
I have told you about adding your BPI Express Teller Account to your PayPal, now let’s transfer funds from PayPal to bank account, shall we?
1. Go to your PayPal Account.
2. Click on “Withdraw” and choose “Withdraw funds to your bank account.” (Note: Free of charge for withdrawals worth P7,000 or more; P50 for P6,999.99 or less.)
3. Put the amount you wish to withdraw and choose the bank account you want to transfer it to.
Done!
You will see that your transaction will appear “pending.” Don’t fret, that will change to “completed” after a day or two but you will only see the money reflected in your bank account after 2-4 business days.
Be aware of the holiday schedules too. If you need the money fast, process your withdrawal earlier before you get sandwiched and stalled by a holiday or a long weekend.
I usually transfer funds on a Monday so that by Thursday, it’s already in my bank account.
Hope this helps. 🙂
Is BPI the best bank for PayPal withdrawals? Although, I have never tried withdrawing yet.

Hi Ceemee, I have only tried Eon (Unionbank) and BPI so I’m not knowledgeable about the other banks. Though I know you can also link other cards like BDO, Metrobank, Landbank, etc to your PayPal, I’m not sure about their transaction charges. I am for convenience and so far, I’m happy with BPI. Never had a problem with it. It’s more convenient for me than Unionbank because there are more BPI branches and ATM’s around the country. I’m happy with their customer service too. 🙂

Hi Elizabeth. Yes, when you’re a verified PayPal user, they remove your withdrawal limits. Here’s how you do it:

Hi Janzcrystals, yes I’ve read a lot of posts about BDO being linked with PayPal several years ago pa when I was still contemplating on whether to get an EON or a BDO card for PayPal. I chose EON because of the lower fees (can’t recall the exact amount anymore). Here’s one of the posts that mentions BDO being linked to PayPal and why some withdrawal attempts are unsuccessful: http://www.bubblews.com/posts/reason-for-unsuccessful-paypal-to-bdo-withdrawal

I have eon, too. There was a time that it took a month before my money got transferred to my BPI account. I guess things have changed.

Try to transfer your paypal funds to your BPI account before 8am. It will reach your BPI account late in the afternoon the next day. It works 90% of the time 🙂
BPI will charge you 150 pesos per transaction while EON will charge you nothing but it has a 200 or 300 pesos yearly fee.

Oh, great information! Thanks for sharing, pxmichael. I’ll try withdrawing before 8am next time and see the difference. And yes, glad to be reminded about the fees, I knew that EON was the best option many yrs ago that’s why I got EON then but that account has become dormant when I stopped blogging so I’m using my BPI now which is very convenient for me. I withdraw in bulk and not too often to minimize withdrawal fees. (clarification for other readers: PayPal doesn’t charge when you withdraw P7,000 and up but your bank like BPI may charge a minimal fee per transaction)
